Members can join in our social tennis sessions once they can sustain a rally and understand the basic rules of the game. Come and join a group and take advantage of meeting other members and enjoying a game in a relaxed friendly environment
Wednesday morning 10:00 – 12:00pm. Played outside on our artificial grass courts weather permitting. Just turn up and join in. This is a relaxed social session for members often with tea and biscuits.
Thursday morning 9:00 – 12:00pm (indoors at the Sports Centre)
Often referred to as ‘nifty fifties’, though the average age is a bit higher and our oldest player is about 84. The game is played on mini courts with sponge balls. However players are experienced and games can be often competitive. The session is well attended and a small fee is payable to the Sports Centre.
Staff are in attendance to organise games and keep score.
